Restore Activation

Hello,

i used WinKey Finder on my PC to Backup my activation, i format my PC, reinstall windows, using the same windows key that i print from winkey finder, after i finish the installation, i change the volume serial number to the old one before the formating then i tried to restore my activation, but i fail, winkey finder give me a message that activation is restored successfully but the windows didnt activated, i restart the PC and a popup message asked me to activate the windows before i log in, i canceled the message and i found the KEYs icon tray and tried with winkey again but still the same
i restart again and this time when the message popup i said yes but the activation window said that this product key is reached the limit number of times to be activated

does winkey finder help to activate the windows or not?

is there any help can come from this forum?? does winkey finder can restore the activation or not? and how come when you restore the activation the windows xp activation form show up, is it normal??

Yes Sorry about the reply, there was a server move that was happening hence. Not much time to reply.

Please do know that when you re-store activation drive volume serial number should be same as the one before when you took backup. please check and verify that?
Also did you do any other hardware changes? and did you install it in the same drive or in some other drive?
