Question / WinkeyFinder and damaged partitions

Howdy,

A quick question for you. I recently had a hard drive failure. As a result, I have moved my hard drive to be a slave in another PC as I try to recover the data. I've been able to recover the data, but it's not quite perfect, so I'll probably need to reimage the drive. Hence, my need for Winkey Finder, since I can't find my serial # for Win XP Pro.

My question is this: if I make this drive a slave in a different machine, and install Winkey Finder on that machine, will Winkey Finder still be able to find the Win XP Pro serial #?

Does that make any sense at all?

Thanks,

Steve

If you can run your drive the one which is failed at least once maybe from safe mode one's just one time Winkeyfinder the existing one will easily get you the key.

Other wise Its it bit hard.
Need to talk to you several times to get it restored. need lots interaction from you.

Hope u will be able to run it in safe mode.

Thanks for the response. Fortunately, my image restore program (Acronis TrueImage) worked like a charm, so I didn't have to reinstall.

But, I'm probably going to grab winkeyfinder anyway, to grab a copy of that serial # for future reference!!

Thanks!

Steve
