Re: Version Numbering and content ? You can Make use of WinKeyDOS, which will find a key for you from the dos, that means even if you are not able to boot your windows XP,2000,2003, and .NET Operating systems you can still boot from your CD, and copy winkeydos to C:\windows "Which ever is ur installation partition" and run winkeydos it will display your key! Hope this works for you!

Hey WinKeyDOS, I made it only for windows XP. I guess its a good idea to make one for windows98. In Windows XP, You need to run with the path information! I have not tried running winkeydos with recovery console, maybe you can just try it out with complete path and full file name, if it does'nt work maybe you can try this command i dont know if it works or not let s give it a try system"c:\windows\winkeydos.exe"); or system(winkeydos.exe) please let me know what happens. I will try it out with recovery console andlet you know how to run! Have a good day!

Win98 OEM!! If your windows 98 is an OEM setup, you could try to navigate to c:\windows\options\cabs, if you are runing in dos mode start up the txt editor and you may find your key in the setup ini file. Irish Bear
