| Windows Vista ---->> Tips, Tricks and Secrets? Hey everyone im new with the newest OS Windows VIsta and I was wondering if you could all provide some very cool hidden features for the Vista OS that many people do not know. Include things that make it look cool speed it up (if possible) and other neat and interesting stuff!All suggestions are greatly appericiated! -marc

| If you enable "noguiboot" in msconfig, you get a MUCH nicer loading screen. Ironic, but true.

| i dunno... you can install really cool gadgets on the sidebar. like i have this sidebar that i dl that tells me how much my dual core procc. is working, how much ram im usin, and this one gadget that tells me when i have a new mail as soon as im connected to the internet, and one that tells me the temp in the city i live in (need to be on-line for this too). i dunno wat else to say besides it lookin awesome as hell.

| So far the coolest thing is the slower performance compared to MS Windows XP on the same hardware. This may actually cause people to re-evaluate alternative operating systems (either MS or non-MS)Tips- Disable Aero to non-Aero or XP for the desktop. This will improve your performance on less than high end video hardware (i.e. just about any integrated video capability should do this by default).- Remove any added software if you bought your PC with Vista pre-installed. Most PC vendors will add additional software that competes with the OS for resources. Many of these applications are not programs that an end user would install on their own.
