Exclamation Error! This Probably Happene's!!

I have just installed winxp Pro on my laptop, using a VLK that I produced using winkeyxp. I have a proper version on my tower and wanted to change the VLK to my own good key. I get the following error:

"Error! This Probably Happene's When you Key in a Wrong/Invalid/Banned Product Key! Please Check the Key Which You have Entered and make sure it is correct! WinKeyFinder Uses Canonical Form of the Key, Which means you dont have to worry about the Upper Case or Lower Case!"

I had backed up my activation on my tower and also copied my good key with keyfinder v1.66 and cut and pasted the key from the tower when I was going to change the key, I also put it in from the keyboard. But no luck, what could be wrong.
The windows ver is a corporate ver that I made using the corp bundle of files. It has worked fine until the new verification tool on the update site came into play. It would even tell you this was a legal copy up to then when you clicked on the help in windows Explorer??
Any help would be greatfully accepted.

Thank you for the reply, I have service pack 2 installed on both computers, and the version of winkeyfinder I used was V.1.66 which I downloaded yesterday, as I had v.1.66 beta.

To go about it another way, would I have been better to use my good disk which came with the tower. (I got the laptop from my daughters, but it only had winxp home on it,) that is my reason for rebuilding it to do the install, and then change copy the acivation, just a thought.

Again tnq
