winkeyfinder finds no product key for Office 2000

Hello,

I was wondering, perhaps the author has found a way of finding the product key for Microsoft Office 2000?

I have Win2kSP4, Office 2000 SB SR-1 (SP3 installed on top) and no versions of winkeyfinder can help me (and this is the only software that claims to be able to do that).

The DigitalProductID at HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Office/9.0/DigitalProductID is empty.

When I click on "MS Office" in WinKeyFinder 1.73 RC1, it checks my floppy drive (why is that?) and displays a list of installed programs. When I select my Office 2000 installation, it reads the floppy drive once more and reports a "Wrong Office Version!". It is all the same with WinKeyFinder 1.72 Final, except when choosing "MS Office", it reports "Error number 0 has occured because:" and after choosing my Office installation, it says "Im'Sorry I give Up!".

Is it at all possible to find the product key for MS Office 2000?

Re: winkeyfinder finds no product key for Office 2000

Hi, the reading of wkf floppy drive is probably with system, wkf has no code to touch floppy drive.
Yep DigitalProductID being Empty is the case why it is not able to pull up the key.
Considering the situation I think it is actually not posible right now, but I think there is always a way out.
Since Imran being bz, when he get's time he will spend on wkf.

Hope it will work in near future.
