did you have a chance to check the tool with the latest Microsoft updates for Vista. I think this is the root cause. Without updates it is working...

The program is giving me the wrong product key, I used it on a friends computer to check if it worked correctly and it gave him another product key that's not from the sticker, any ideas why?

The Shipped computers Operating systems are Installed using a Image and a Single OEM key. the key which they use is not ur key, they key which comes with the sticker is the original Key of yours.
